Sarangkot is Pokhara's most loved viewpoint. From here you see the whole Pokhara Valley and the magnificent Himalaya: the Annapurna massif, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), the Dhaulagiri range and Manaslu. It is about 12 km by road from Lakeside, and at 1,592 m it is the highest viewpoint for sunrise and sunset over the snowy peaks.
It is also the launch point for paragliding over Phewa Lake, with Dhaulagiri on the far western horizon.
